Srinagar: J&K Santosh trophy football team was announced on Wednesday with Principal Secretary Youth Services and Sports department, Alok Kumar flagging off the team for the championship from GGM Science College ground Jammu.
The North Zone leg of the 75th National championship for Santosh Trophy would be held in Chandigarh from November 21.

On the occasion Alok Kumar said that the government is focussed on providing better facilities to the players in order to enable them to bring laurels for J&K.
The government has created better infrastructure facilities for the Youth to participate in different Games.
The North Zone leg of the Santosh Trophy includes five teams. In addition to J&K, it includes Chandigarh, Services, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. J&K will be playing its first match on November 21 against hosts Chandigarh. In the second match on November 23, J&K is going to take on Services.
On November 25, J&K is scheduled to clash with Uttar Pradesh while on November 27 it will play against Himachal Pradesh.
