J&K winter games team leave for Auli

The J&K Nordic and Alpine ski teams of Winter Games Association of Jammu And Kashmir on Monday left for Auli from Srinagar.

The nine member Nordic and Alpine ski team led by Muhammad Yusuf has left for Auli to take part in Nationals starting from February 26. Due to road blockade the team was sent by air from Srinagar on Monday. They will take part in different events of Nordic ski, Alpine ski and Snowboarding.

   

 The championship is being organised by Uttaranchal Olympic Association under the Aegis of Indian Olympic Association. The team was flagged off by WGAJK President Mohammad Abass Wani at Srinagar airport today. He expressed his confidence in his team and is hopeful with colourful results.

Abass Wani expressed his gratitude to Secretary General, IOA Rajeev Mehta, and convener Adhoc Body ski Rakesh Sharma for making the participation of J&K team possible.
