Kashmiri diaspora in UAE and surrounding countries have chosen Sports as medium of promoting culture and heritage by connecting with their roots.

Kashmir Super League (Dubai) started by Inayat Fazili, Zubair Shah and Imran Malik with the support of other Kashmiris working there has turned out be a success and raised hopes of Kashmiris living abroad to connect with each other.

KSL 2017 started with fanfare in Ajman Oval, a beautiful stadium situated 30 kilometers away from Dubai, in January and reached stage for its final scheduled for 24 March, 2017.

According to organisers, Kashmiris with their families have witnessed League matches with stadium turning out to be mini Kashmir as live commentary of all matches is in Kashmiri Language.

Overwhelmed by the response, the organizers have planned a event on 24th March as all Kashmiris living there with their families have been invited to witness the final match but also members of media fraternity from Kashmir, Civil Society members and Trade Union have been invited.

In total 14 teams comprising 350 cricketers living in Gulf countries participated in the League. The semi-finals will be played between Buhrikadal Badshah vs Rajbagh Sports and Soura Qalandars vs Razay Kadal Super Heroes.

As per Kashmiris living in Gulf, the role of organizers has to be appreciated for KSL which has not only created a mini Kashmir in Dubai stadium but also given Kashmiris opportunity to have close bondage with each other.

"KSL helped more than 50 Kashmiri youth to get jobs also."
