Srinagar: NIFF Youth Football League 2021 was kick-started today at Synthetic Turf Football Stadium Ground TRC Srinagar.
Two matches were played on the first day of the league.
As per the fixture issued by NIFF, the first match was played between J&K Bank Academy and Kupwara FA which was won by J&K Bank Academy by two goals to nil. Yawar and Sheikh Salman were the goal scorers for the Bank Academy.
The second match of the fixture was played between Sports Council Football Academy and Langate Handwara FA that ended at 5-1 scoreline in favour of SCFA. The goal scorers for SCFA were Waris, Ubaid and Farhan whereas the solitary goal for Langate was scored by Faizan. Ubaid Bhat of SCFA was adjourned Player of the Match and received memento and cash award for his brilliant performance.
Proprietor of J&K Roadways was chief guest on the occasion. He was accompanied by several other dignitaries who witnessed and enjoyed both the matches of the day. Chairman NIFF Bashir A Malik, Advisor NIFF Ab Hamid Banday, Former National Footballer Nazir Andrabi, International coach Sajid Dar, AFC Pro license coach Hilal Rasool, International Footballer Aslam Parvez, AFC A License Coach Manzoor Ahmad, AFC B license Coach Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, and other prominent members of NIFF were also present.
Notably the Youth Football League is being organised by NIFF J&K in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
