Kashmir university men’s volleyball team won its fourth straight match by defeating ChoudharyBansiLal UniversityBhiwani in a nail-biting finish by 3-2 sets. For Kashmir University, Anas, Younus, Munawwar Khan, Aaqib, Rafiq and Shakir were the stars of the match.
The team is all set to play qualifiers on Thursday against Punjab University, Chandigarh in the ongoing North Zone Inter University volleyball tournament (men) at Kanpur University.
Earlier in its first match, team Kashmir University defeated SMVD Katra University by 3 sets to 0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-1) and then in the second match it defeated Haridwar University. Continuing its impressive form, the KU team won the third match against the strong Rohilkhand University Bariely in straight three sets 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.
Coordinator, Directorate of physical education and sports Dr. Nisar Ahmad Khan, Assistant Directors Nadeem Ahmad and Towseef Ahmad all congratulated the team for their excellent performance in the tournament and also appreciated the efforts of the team’s coach MuneerAalam.
