With J&K suffering five consecutive defeats in Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament, it is the form its star player and skipper Parvez Rasool that is concern for the team.
It is not a hidden fact that J&K has done well whenever Parvez has performed well. But this time Parvez has not been able to deliver to the expected levels and as a result, team J&K is performing badly.
In batting, he has failed to produce even a single good inning and in bowling, he has lost the ability to take wickets and as a result, the team has suffered badly. Albeit bowling economical spells yet his toothless bowling and poor batting has become an issue of concern.
On Sunday against Gujarat, batting confidently on 20, it looked that Parvez has got his form back but unfortunately, he failed to convert it into big one. In bowling, while other bowlers were going for runs, he bowled miserly giving away only 14 runs in his five overs, but still lacked the wicket-taking deliveries. Even against Jharkhand he went wicket-less, although he gave away onluy 26 runs in his 10 overs.
Parvez had himself recently acknowledged that his poor form in both the departments is a matter concern.
