The Premier League J&K Football tournament Srinagar leg started off at Synthetic Turf TRC ground here on Monday.
On the opening day of the tournament featuring top 12 football teams of J&K two matches were played.
In the first match of the day, Arco FC beat Downtown Heroes FC by 1-0 goals. Mehraj was the lone scorer in the match. The lone goal proved enough for Arco to secure the match in their favor as Downtown Heroes FC wasted too many chances.
In the second match of the day, Real Kashmir Reserves beat Kashmir Avengers FC by 1-0 goals. The only goal of the match was scored by Naish in the first half.
On Tuesday, two matches are scheduled to be played in which Novelty FC will clash with Sports Council XI in their first match, while as Arco FC will take on Hyderya Sports in the second match of the day.
The tournament is organised by J&K Sports Council in collaboration with J&K Football Association.
