J&K continued to dominate things as they first bundled out Goa for 77 runs in first inning then set target of 411 runs to win for Goa in its Ranji trophy match being played at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat on Friday.

J&K continued to dominate things as they first bundled out Goa for 77 runs in first inning then set target of 411 runs to win for Goa in its Ranji trophy match being played at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat on Friday.

At the end of days play, Goa were on 22 for the loss of no wicket in second inning trailing by 390 runs to win the match. 

Earlier day started with Goa struggling on 43 for the loss of five wickets. They got all out for 77 runs in 30.5 overs. Ram Dayal was star for J&K in bowling department taking four wickets while as Umar Nazir took three. Parvez Rasool took two and Samiullah took one. J&K secured healthy first inning lead of 150 runs.

In second inning J&K on the back of fighting 87 run knock played by Puneet Bisht were able to post 261 runs for the loss of all wickets.

Bisht knock was special because it mostly revolved around tailenders.  Ian Dev was next best top scorer for J&K with another 50 plus score of 64 runs. Shubam Khajuria scored 48. 

Adil Reshi scored 2, Bandeep 6, Parvez got out for zero, Manhas 12 and Ram Dayal 3, Samiullah 3 and Umar Nazir 3 all got out cheaply. Amir Aziz remained unbeaten on 15 for J&K. For Goa Pandekar and Yadav shared three wickets each.

In its first inning J&K had scored 227 runs. Parvez top scored with 82 while as Ian Dev scored 67.Puneet Bisht had scored 40 runs.

Currently for Goa its openers Darshan Misal on 14 and Swapnil A Asnodkar on 8 have been able to cope up with the teasing last few overs that J&K bowlers bowled at them. Goa in second inning is on 22 without loss still trailing by 391 runs. In the match there are full two days of play left and outcome in any case is possible. It will need gigantic effort from Goa batsman or disastrous display of bowling from J&K for it to go Goa's way. On Saturday JK would try its best to wrap up Goa quickly so that it will earn maximum points from the match.
