Ganderbal: Islamic Revival International School (IRIS) Kangan student Shezan Rashid has won the Gold medal in the recently held 27th National Thang-Ta championship by defeating his opponent from Manipur.
Shezan an 8th class student of IRIS Kangan bagged a gold medal in the 27th National Thang-Ta championship held in MA stadium Jammu between 17-19 December.
By winning gold he was also selected for the International Thang-Ta championship scheduled to be held next year. For his exemplary performance, the IRIS school management has felicitated Shezan and expressed hope that he will also perform well in the future.
Chairman Islamic Revival International School Kangan, Aejaz Sediq congratulated Shezan for his performance.
Meanwhile, Sana Showkat from class 8th of IRIS has also won Silver in the same competition among girls.
The school management has congratulated both medalists.
