The SnowShoe race for the students was conducted by J&K SnowShoe Association under the aegis of SnowShoe Federation of India at Gulmarg on Tuesday.
The race was held to promote snowshoe activity and sport among the students and in it around 20 students from Burn Hall School participated. It was first time that the students of the said institute participated in snowshoe racing.
The run was flagged of by senior ski instructor of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Niyaz Wani along with Burn Hall School sports instructors Feroze Khan, Rouf Bhat and other DYSS officials Mohammad Rafi and Irshad Ahmad. On the occasion International cyclist Akbar khan and national level table tennis player Qazi Inam were also present.
In the race held in Gulmarg bowl, Danish of Burn Hall finished first while as Ayan finished second. Abrar finished third.
