Sopore Police team wins 11 medals

A Ren-Bu-Kan Karate Police team from Sopore bagged 11 medals in the second J&K State Ren-Bu-Kan Karate championship-2017 held at Sainik School Palpora Qazi Abad Handwara, a police spokesman said.

A Ren-Bu-Kan Karate Police team from Sopore bagged 11 medals in the second J&K State Ren-Bu-Kan Karate championship-2017 held at Sainik School Palpora Qazi Abad Handwara,  a police spokesman said. 

He said Mehraj-uddin Dar, Shadaab Ali Dar, Mudasir Bashir, Zubair Ahmad Bhat, Umer Muhammad, Rizwan Mohiudin, Imran Lone, Tanveer Ahmad Dad, Mudasir Ahmad Khan, Rameez Jaan and Wasim Ahmad represented the team in the event. The team was imparted free coaching at DPL Sopore by coach Manzoor Ahmad of Shah Hamdaan Sports Academy Sopore.

During ensuing Ren-Bu-Kan Karate championship Mehraj-ud-Din Dar, Shahdaab Ali, Mudasir Bashir and Zubair Ahmad Bhat bagged gold medals while as Umer Muhammad and Rizwan Mohiudin bagged silver medals and Imran Lone, Tanveer Ahmad Dar, Mudasir Ahmad Khan, Rameez Jaan and Wasim Ahmad bagged bronze medals. The team members were felicitated and encouraged by the Sopore Police at District Police Office Sopore, the spokesman added.

He said the free martial art coaching which includes kick boxing, Karate, Taekwondo, Wushu etc shall continue for the general youth and youth who intend to make their career in sports  will be imparted free coaching at DPL Sopore. The interested youth can approach District Police Office Sopore.
