Srinagar, Nov 12: Adn Arshid has bagged bronze medal for J&K in the sub-junior Judo championship being held in Chandigarh.

Representing J&K in the National Cadet and Sub-Junior Judo championship in Chandigarh, Adn Arshid bagged bronze medal in 44 kilogram category.

Adn who is student of Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School Srinagar was up against player from Himachal Pradesh in the bronze medal fight. She emerged winner and secured medal for J&K.

Adn has been training in Sports Council facilities at Gindun and Polo Ground under former National Judo medalist turned coach Umer Hamza.

Umer describes Adn as highly talented player who has got potential to win medals for J&K at highest level in Judo.

"Judo is not easy sport , it is tougher than other martial art forms and it is difficult to win medal in it. Adn is talented player and if she trains well, keep her focus on the game, she has potential to win medal for J&K," Umer said.
