SYED MUSHTAQ ALI TROPHY | J&K to take on Himachal Pradesh

Srinagar: After registering a thumping win against star studded Haryana side, J&K senior cricket team would be taking on Himachal Pradesh in their next clash of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament at Reliance Cricket Stadium, Vadodara on Monday.

After having suffered two defeats in the league, J&K bounced back strongly by defeating star studded side Haryana by seven wickets.

   

Pacer Umran Malik and senior cricketer Parvez Rasool were star performers for the team while Shubham Pundir, Vivrant Sharma, Mujtaba Yousuf and Aquib Nabi also contributed well.

With one win and two defeats in three matches J&K stand at fourth place in points table of the group. They will now take on Himachal Pradesh who have similar points and win loss ratio in the event as that of J&K. After playing three matches Himachal Pradesh has only registered one win and lost two.

They stand at fifth place on points table behind J&K on the basis of run rate.

J&K has a decent record against Himachal and they would like to continue that on Monday.
