Trekking Expedition flagged-in

Trekking expedition organised by Rajouri Development Authority with an aim to promote adventure tourism was flagged in at Budh Khanari tourist site of Darhal tehsil in Rajouri on Monday.

The 3-day expedition, funded by Director Tourism Jammu comprised of 30 trekkers. DDC Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Assad supervised the expedition.

   

The expedition headed by AEE Rajouri Development Authority, Zahid Malik was flagged off by CEO RDA, Dr. Tahir Firdous from Budh Khanari on 20th October. During the expedition, the trekkers passed through a number of sites at higher reaches of Pir Panjal mountains including Richwali, Thumbal, Bahrwali and Lambi Behak before reaching Shaker Marg, which is located at a height of 11000-12000 above sea level. 

Trekkers also visited a number of sites located near Shaker Marg which include Saitimarg, Chaisari and Janjwali.

Meanwhile, the expedition was flagged in on Monday at Budh Khanari by a team headed by CEO Rajouri Development Authority, Tahir Firdous on the directions of DDC Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Assad.

CEO RDA, Tahir Firdous informed that the expedition was organised with an aim to promote adventure tourism and also explore hidden tourist sites on higher ranges, so that the same are brought on the tourist map. He also said that the health department made adequate medical arrangements for trekking expedition. Further, he said that more such expeditions will be organised in near future.
