Srinagar: After dominating all four days of play, Haryana registered a nine-wicket win over J&K in the Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy tournament match at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium, Vizag.

After bundling out J&K for 218 runs total in the second inning, Haryana needed 20 runs to win which they achieved for the loss of only one wicket. Haryana bagged a full six points from the match.

Earlier last day's play started with J&K resuming their second inning from an overnight score of 193 for the loss of eight wickets. J&K could add only 25 runs to the total as the team got all out for 218. Overnight unbeaten batsman Muhammad Manzir remained not out on 29. Arya Thakur scored 65 while Abid Hussain scored 45. Shivansh Sharma got out after scoring 40. Mayank Shandilya was again a wrecker in chief taking an eight-wicket haul for Haryana.

In reply, Haryana achieved the target for the loss of one wicket. Sarvesh was the only wicket to fall in the inning accumulated by Dhruv Singh.

Earlier, Haryana had declared their first innings on 437 for the loss of eight wickets. Parth Vats top-scored with 106 while Ayush Kumar scored 70. Mayank Shandilya scored 67. For J&K, Jasbir Singh, Ranjot Singh and Sarvashish Singh took two wickets each.

In reply J&K first inning had bundled out for 238 runs, handing Haryana the first-inning lead of 199 runs. Shivansh Sharma top-scored with 85 run knocks for J&K while Jagjap Singh scored 45. For Haryana, Mayank Shandilya took a seven-wicket haul.

With this dominant win, Haryana jumped to the top of the table in Elite Group E with 25 points. J&K is yet to register a win in the tournament.
