Srinagar: Karnataka beat J&K by an inning and 210 run margin in the match of the Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy tournament at Kandukuri Cricket Academy, Vizag on Thursday.
Resuming their second inning from overnight total of 142 runs for the loss of three wicket, the whole J&K side bundled out for 193 run total in 104 overs. Skipper Muhammad Manzir top scored with 68 while as Moomin Muzaffar scored 44. For Karnataka, Shashi Kumar took six wicket haul. J&K lost match by an inning and 210 runs.
Earlier, Karnataka had declared their first inning on the score of 517 for the loss of four wickets. Vishal Onat remained not out on 252 run knock while as Jasper EJ scored 148 run knock. Yashovardan scored 50. For J&K, Mohammad Manzir, Ranjot Singh, Sarvashish and Nityam took one wicket each. Karnataka had take first inning lead of 403 runs.
J&K in its first inning had got all out for 114 run total. Skipper Muhammad Manzir with 41 run total was highest scorer for them while as S Sharma with 15 runs was next best scorer. For Karnataka, Shashi Kumar took four wicket haul.
From this match Karnataka earned seven points and stand at top of points table ahead of Mumbai who also have got seven points. J&K stand at bottom with no points. J&K is scheduled to take on Pondicherry from December 6 in its second match of the tournament.
