Two drug peddlers were arrested at Bagh-Ali-Mardan area here on Wednesday.
“A naka was laid by SHO police station Lal Bazar Riyaz Ahmad Khan under the supervision of SDPO Hazratbal Rameez Rashid Bhat at Bagi Ali Mardan Khan. A Tata Indica car bearing registration No JK01P 4395 was intercepted and on checking banned psychotropic substance Codiene Phosphate 210 Bottles were recovered,” police said in a statement.
“In this connection two persons namely Yusuf Bhat of Ahmad Nagar and Shabir Ahmad Sheikh of Khanyar Budoo Bagh were arrested. The accused disclosed that they have been involved in selling the narcotic and psychotropic drugs among the youth in various areas particularly in Srinagar. In this regard case FIR No 03/17 U/s 8/22 NDPS was registered against the duo and investigation taken up,” police added.
