2 shopkeepers arrested for violating lockdown order

Police on Wednesday said it arrested two shopkeepers for defying the government’s lockdown order in the summer capital Srinagar.

A statement said in the jurisdiction of police stationSadder two shopkeepers were booked for defying the prohibitory orders.

   

The accused have been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Rah ofHousing Colony, Chanpora and Ghulam Nabi Hajam of Lalnagar Chanpora.

Accordingly, the statement said the cases (FIR Nos 52/2020and 53/2020), under relevant sections of the law, have been registered inpolice station Sadder and further investigations into the cases have beeninitiated.

“Thsoe who are seen violating the restrictions will be dealtstrictly as per the law,” said the statement.
