In a bid to make a value-addition to students, Sri Pratap College, here is mulling to start special classes certificate course in Functional and Spoken Arabic.
Officials said the decision was taken on the directions of Education Minister Naeem Akhtar who had visited the college on April 2.
The Minister had impressed upon the college administration to think out-of-box in the direction of value-addition to the traditional and academic course transactions in the institutions of Higher Education.
The college has decided to enroll also the aspirants who as such are not on its rolls for the certificate course in spoken Arabic. "The decision has been taken given the fact that professionally trained and academically brilliant pass outs of the colleges and universities face a challenge in communicating in the Middle East that has a huge potential of employing them," the college management said in a statement. .
It said the certification for the course shall be done by the College itself till the required clearances from the affiliating university and other agencies are obtained.
"All the desirous aspirants for this certificate course have been advised to report directly to the Principal's office for registration and further necessary instructions," the statement added.
