Residents of Bemina locality here have expressed resentment against failure of authorities to develop the green belt along the bypass saying it has turned into a cesspool.
Chairman of Coordination Committee Bemina, Muhammad Shafi Shah said as compared to development in colonies along Bypass in Jammu, the stretch along Bemina has been neglected.
"In green belts along Bypass, government has constructed parks on several kilometers. In comparison, the Green Belt along Bypass in Bemina has been turned into a cesspool. The green belt stretch opposite the Police Public School and SDA office is full of weeds, garbage dumps and has become breeding ground for stray animals. With increase in temperature, pungent smell from the spot engulfs our locality making lives of inhabitants miserable," Shah said. GKNN
