Raising anti-government slogans, the aggrieved Shikara owners blocked road resulting in disruption in vehicular movement.
"Government has failed to fulfill its promise of providing compensation to us. Ironically, despite passing of over a year since floods, Government has left us to fend for ourselves," they said.
"During our meeting with Governor NN Vohra, he had passed directions to Commissioner Secretary Tourism to provide financial assistance to the tune of Rs 50,000 to the affected shikara owners. However, we are yet to receive the relief," they said.
