The Divisional Commissioner was chairing a meeting to review management of traffic in Srinagar. He directed the officials to keep a check on unauthorized parking in the City and called for the imposing of hefty fine on the violators.
Meanwhile, the representatives of Traders Body Solina Tuesday called on the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and put forth their demands before him. An official communiqué said the Divisional Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the representatives and assured them that their grievances with regard to the completion of the flyover will be redressed on priority.
Expressing their grievances, the traders demanded that their business losses should be considered for the compensation. Responding to the demands of the traders, the Divisional Commissioner assured them that their losses will be compensated adequately as per norms.
The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Traffic Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Vice Chairman LAWDA, Director J&K ERA, Commissioner SMC, Chief Town Planner, RTO Kashmir and other concerned.
