National Conference youth provincial vice president Kashmir Ahsan Pardesi Saturday urged government to rehabilitate the families of Pantha Chowk vulnerable to landslides due to crumbling of mountain.

"Government must immediately take measures for rehabilitation of vulnerable 20 families to avoid loss of life and property," Pardesi said in a statement.

"The affected family lives from hand to mouth. It is responsibility of government to rehabilitate the family," he said.

He urged government to take serious note of the problems being faced by the families whose houses can be hit by rocks again. "The fact remains that the mountain parts can cave in or crumble anytime as it is heavily snowing," he added.
