Residents of Wawoosa Rangreth have appealed the Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) to incorporate their area in the ongoing deep drainage network being constructed in adjoining areas.
They said absence of proper drainage system is causing lot of inconvenience to the inhabitants.
A delegation from the area stated that almost all colonies were incorporated under the drainage network. "Ironically, we have been informed that drains in our area won't be constructed as Wawoosa has been left out. Lack of proper drainage system turns our colony into cesspool during rainy days," they said.
Meanwhile, Shopkeepers Welfare Association Rangreth have also appealed the authorities to incorporate left over areas around the Rangreth market road stretch in the ongoing deep drainage construction. "ERA also left out Rangreth market and its adjoining areas," they said.
"We hope that R&B minister Nayeem Akhtar, MLA Amira Kadal Syed Altaf Bukhari and chief executive officer ERA Farooq Ahmad Lone will look into the matter," they added.
