A delegation of the Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries-Kashmir (CCIK) has sought redressal of issues confronting J&K Goods and Transport Companies Association Transport Nagar at Parimpora here.
A delegation of CCIK under the leadership of its president Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Khan held a meeting with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir. "In the meeting the Divisional Commissioner was apprised of the problems being faced by J &K Goods and Transport Companies Association at Parimpora here.
The Divisional Commissioner informed the delegation that the administration is aware of all these difficulties and a comprehensive plan has been formulated at a cost of Rs 90 crores which will take care of the bad roads and drainage system of the area and work will be undertaken in a week," Tariq Rashid Ghani, secretary general
CCIK said in a statement.
"The delegation raised the issues of erratic power supply, non-availability of telephone system which is utmost requirement in the present system.
The divisional commissioner assured the delegation that these issues will be taken care of and issued on spot directions to the concerned departments for doing the needful.
He also informed the delegation that he will visit the area once the work is started," the CCIK statement said.
