49 Govt officials allotted quarters in Srinagar

Jammu, Nov 27: J&K Estates Department on Saturday accorded sanction to the allotment of government quarters at Srinagar in favour of 49 officials for a period of one year with effect from the date of actual occupation on payment of rent as admissible under rules. The quarters have been allotted in Tulsibagh, Factory Road, Bemina, Natipora, Chanapora, and Sempora in Pampore area.

As per an order issued by the Principal Secretary Estates Department, these allotments are subject to a few conditions.

   

“The allottee(s) shall execute necessary license deeds with the Deputy Director Estates, Kashmir on this behalf and also complete all the formalities as required under rules,” one of the conditions specified.

As per conditions, the allottee(s) will furnish an affidavit before the Deputy Director Estates, Kashmir to the effect that “neither they nor their spouse(s) or any other family member owns a residential house in Srinagar city.”

“The Deputy Director Estates, Kashmir shall handover the possession of the allotted accommodation only after verifying the genuineness/authenticity of the allottees from the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officer,” the order further read.
