Scores of students of B.tech CSE North Campus Monday staged protest against what they called "politicizing education."

"We demand that government should separate education and politics as our careers are at stake. Due to unnecessary political interference in education system, the students are becoming victim of this cheap politics," said protestors.

The Students demanded that the Department of Computer Science be made part of the already built Engineering College at Zakura.  They also urged Vice-Chancellor to give them the chance to actually be part of an engineering college that would enable them to access better infrastructure and have a nurturing engineering atmosphere.

The protesting students also appealed the State government, Higher Education Minister and the Vice-Chancellor to take up this matter in the upcoming University Council meeting and resolve it quickly. They threatened to observe hunger strike in case their demands are not met.
