Batamaloo traders have decided to boycott the foundation laying function of mini-secretariat here.
“A meeting of the traders under the banner of all traders, street vendors, joint coordination committee Batamaloo was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Abrar Khan.
Various issues were discussed in the meeting,” said spokesperson, Muhammad Yaseen Guru.
“It was observed that despite taking up the matter of rehabilitation with government nothing was done on ground. Only mere assurances were issued from time to time.
“We will hold peaceful protests, wear black ribbons on arms and boycott the stone laying foundation event as a mark of protest against delaying our rehabilitation process,” he added.
