Srinagar, Feb 10: A large chunk of dry grass and bushes caught fire in Brari-Nambal area of Babademb here.
An official from Fire and Emergency Services said the fire was doused after hard efforts. He said that large chunk of Nambal had caught fire damaging dry grass and bushes.
Locals said fire emanated from garbage dumped by people in the Nambal area. “Fire spread quickly and damaged grass and other stuff spreading in a vast patch of the Nambal,” they said.
