A unique painting hanging from a wall caught the attention of many in the lawns of SKICC overlooking banks of Dal Lake here on Saturday. The painting displaying the flags of India and Pakistan read: "We don't want bloodshed, we want freedom."
The painting was among at least 20 other drawings hanging on wall at the 'Chinar Youth Festival 2018', which was organised by the army at SKICC here.
The painting drawn by an unidentified student, brought some sort of embarrassment to the army. Another painting depicted the transformation of Kashmir from a beautiful Valley into a "battlefield".
"Beautiful Kashmir turns into battlefield" was written on the drawing.
Another painting showed a blood-soaked Kashmir with words "stone pelting" written over it.
An Army official said there can be different views as hundreds of students participated in the event. Governor Satya Pal Malik was the chief guest on the occasion.
