The Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar Dr Talat Jabeen Thursday organized a medical camp at Rakh Aarth in Batmaloo Zone, as part of special outreach program.
A team of doctors and paramedics conducted physical check-upof over 160 persons of different age group including children, an officialstatement said.
It said the team provided free medicines to the patientsbesides conducting blood tests free of charges. "The CMOs office is planning toconduct more such camps in different areas of Srinagar in coming days to reachin its drive to create awareness about health among people," the statementsaid.
The local hailed the move and demanded to make it a regularfeature in the area in order to save the people from any fatal disease, thestatement said.
"We have conducted such camps in the past as well. It isalso our endeavor to make people aware about hygiene which goes a long way tohelp build a healthy society," it said.
