Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Abid Rasheed Shah today visited Pandhan Nowhatta in Downtown here to assess the damage caused by massive blaze there in which nine houses were gutted on Saturday night.
On the occasion, Dr Shah assured the fire victims of all help for their rehabilitation.
The affected families were provided relief from the district Red Cross fund with each affected being given an amount of Rs. 4000 in addition to blankets and clothes.
The DC said the locals injured in firefighting efforts will be given appreciation letters and their names recommended for award. The locals appreciated the DC for visiting them.
