Several pedestrians and passengers on board a car had a narrow escape when a branch of a decayed Chinar fell on main road there today.
The residents through welfare committee Chinar Colony Chandpora have urged deputy commissioner Srinagar to direct the concerned officials to look into the matter.
“The decayed Chinar has endangered lives of residents and commuters. We demand immediate felling of the tree to avoid any mishap,” they said.
