Srinagar, May 10: The Jayanti of Zeashta Mata was celebrated with religious fervor on Wednesday.
Hundreds of devotees from J&K and across the country visited the temple on the occasion. As per Zeashta Devi Prabandhak Committee, the celebration started on Tuesday with Kalash Puja followed by birthday rituals on Wednesday.
A large number of devotees from different parts of the country participated in the function and paid obeisance at the temple. On this occasion, the latest edition of monthly magazine Zeashta Sandesh was also released.
“We prayed for peace and prosperity of Kashmir. In our every festival, our Muslim brothers participate and assist us in whatever way possible. We are thankful for that,” said Jagdish Bhardwaj, a devotee.
He said Pandit community from across country and from local community participated in the event.
