Wife of Syed Abdul Rashid Gillani of Bagh-e-Hyder sector A Hyderpora passed away on Monday.
She was the mother of chief conservator of Forests (Kashmir) Syed Farooq Ahmad Gillani and mother-in-law of former vice-chairman Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) and senior congress leader Muhammad Aslam Laigaroo.
Meanwhile, employees of the forest department on Tuesday held a condolence meeting at CCF-Kashmir office at Forest Complex, Sheikh-Bagh here.
Planning officer, Musadiq Qadri, who chaired the condolence meeting, expressed his grief over the demise. In his condolence message, Qadri prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile, several Congress leaders also expressed sympathies with Laigaroo. Family sources said the congregational prayers will be held on January 24 (Thursday) at their ancestral graveyard at Reyazath Teng. Khanyar at 10.30 am.
