: Four days after hisyoung son died of Covid-19, a man from Alamgari Bazar area of Srinagar becamethe fresh victim of the novel disease in Kashmir on Monday.
With his death, the number of people who have become acasualty of the novel Coronavirus disease in Jammu and Kashmir has gone up toten – 9 of them in Kashmir and one in Jammu division.
Quoting sources, news agency GNS reported that the man withunderlying serious comorbidities, died at the CD hospital where he was shiftedsoon after testing positive for Covid-19 on May 8.
“He was suffering from pancreatic cancer and had othercomorbidities. He died at the hospital this afternoon,” Dr Salim Tak, MedicalSuperintendent CD Hospital Srinagar was quoted as having said by GNS.
The 32- year-old son of the deceased had died on May 7 afterhe contracted the disease while attending to his father at Oncology departmentof Super Speciality Hospital Shireen Bagh.
