Police on Thursday informed the State Human Rights Commission that records of GawKadal massacre, which had got damaged in 2014 flood, have been retrieved.
In a report submitted before SHRC, the SSP Srinagar has stated that all records regarding to the case, kept at Police Station Kralkhud, had got washed away in 2014 flood. However file of the case has now been retrieved, the report said. The petition in the case was filed by activist AhsanUntoo in 2012.
