GMC conducts health assessment of JKYT orphanage inmates

Government Medical College Srinagar’s Department of Community Medicine today conducted health assessment of around 80 girls in an orphanage Gulshan Banaat run by JK Yateem Trust here. 

“Doctors and lab staff of the Department of Community Medicine led by a registrar from Department of Gynaecology & Obstetrics conducted the health assessment.

   

The assessment was done on the directions of Principal GMC Srinagar, upon receiving a request letter from JK Yateem Trust,” the department of community Medicine said in a statement. 

“Further lab samples were taken for CBC, TSH and Sr. Iron levels which shall be done free of cost by Departments of Pathology and Biochemistry GMC Srinagar. The administration of the orphanage appreciated the efforts by Government Medical College Srinagar in holding such health assessment camp.
