Governor Satya Pal Malik unveiled the Logo of the Cluster University of Srinagar, ‘Knowledge Enlightens’.
The logo was unveiled in presence of Prof. Sheikh Javid Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor of theUniversity; Prof. M .Y. Peerzada, Dean Academics; Prof. Yasmin Kawoos, DeanSchool of Education; Prof. NasreenMalik, Dean School of Humanities and Liberal Arts; and Prof. Abdul HamidSheikh, Registrar of the University.
Governor also released ‘Newsletter’ of the Cluster Universityof Srinagar on the occasion.
The core element in the Logo of the University represents anopen book being read by a human being which symbolises the act of readinglearning, inquisitiveness and wisdom. Together these five elements indicate thefive senses and also the five constituent colleges of the University. At theheart of the Logo is a symbolic graphic of the saffron flower which isexclusive to the region of Kashmir.
Governor appreciated the Logo of the University and urgedProf. Ahmed and his colleagues to strive hard and make the University a centreof excellence in teaching and learning.
