Srinagar, Nov 8: Iqbal Public High School Soura today celebrated its 32nd annual day.
Mayor Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattoo was the chief guest on this occasion. The function was presided over by head Iqbal Institute of Culture and Philosophy, University of Kashmir, Dr. Mushtaq Ganaie, former Director of Colleges, Professor G M Tibet Bakal was the guest of honour, while Professor Rashid Aziz of the Central University of Kashmir was present as the special guest.
Professor G M Bakal, the leader of Batamaloo Traders federation, Abrar Zahoor Ahmed Tramboo representing Youth sports and services expressed his congratulations to the students, their parents, and the school authority for their relentless efforts and hard work.
Central University Kashmir’s Professor Raashid Aziz also spoke on the occasion. Ishfaq Ahmed Rather recalled the faculty’s role in his understanding of the world beyond school and academics. The programme was organised by the school in collaboration with Kashmir Book Trust. President, of Kashmir Book Trust, Shabir Ahmed Matjee, renowned Urdu poet, Ashraf Adil, Journalist Zahoor Shair, and various others graced the occasion.
