The biggest gathering of devotees was witnessed at historicJamia Masjid here where thousands of people offered congregational Fridayprayers. Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq on theoccasion delivered the Friday sermon, throwing light on the importance of theday.
The second biggest gathering was witnessed at DargahHazratbal shrine here where thousands of people offered Jumat-ul-Vida prayers.
The markets at Hazratbal wore festive look. Authorities hadput in place all arrangements for convenience of devotees.
Congregational prayers were held in all Masajids and shrinesin Srinagar including Masjid Jamiat-e-Ahlehadith, Gawkadal; Asar-e-Sharif,Janab Sahib Soura, Shehri-Kalashpora; Ziarat-e-Makhdoom Sahib (RA),Khanqah-e-Mualla and different Imambaras.
