Kashmiri mother-of-three daughters dies due to Covid-19 in Dubai

A 34-year-old Kashmiri woman died due to Covid-19 at ahospital in Dubai on Friday afternoon, leaving behind three minor daughters.

“She was diagnosed Corona positive on March 31. We aredevastated by this news and urge everyone back home in Kashmir to pray for thedeparted soul,” Junaid Bashir Lone, a cousin of the deceased, told GreaterKashmir from Dubai.

   

The deceased hailed from Nawab Bazar area of downtownSrinagar.

She has left behind a family of four, including husband andthree daughters, aged one, two and six years.

The deceased was the daughter of late Farooq Lone, a formerproducer at Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMMRC), University ofKashmir.

Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased in Srinagarhave urged people to pray for the departed soul at their homes and avoidvisiting the residence in view of the prevailing situation due to Covid-19.

UAE on Friday reported 331 new coronavirus cases even asextensive testing was being conducted,media reports have said.

The country’s health ministry has also revealed that twopatients suffering from Covid-19, an Asian national and an Arab, had died dueto complications caused by the virus, said a report. Both the deceased hadprior chronic illnesses, the ministry had said. The total number of deaths inUAE has now reached 14.
