Residents of Khomeini Chowk Bemina have resented inordinate delay in laying power transmission line from Rakh Arath to Bemina.
A delegation from the area under the banner of Bemina Development and Welfare Front (BDWF) said due to incomplete work on the project, residents of Bemina are facing problems.
"Bemina Khomeini Chowk receives power supply from Rakh Arth receiving station feeder 6. The transmission line passes through wetland and paddy fields. Whenever the line gets snapped, the restoration takes days, resulting in long power cuts and erratic power supply," said Syed Sibt-e Ali, chairman of BDWF.
He said that the front delegation had called on Chief Engineer Electrification division almost a year ago, and he had assured that a new transmission line will be laid through 100-feet road connecting Bemina with Rakh Arath.
"The poles were erected seven-eight months back, but the project was abandoned midway due to unknown reasons. Despite repeated pleas, the work has not resumed till date, adding to the woes of the people," Syed said.
The BDWF appealed Chief Engineer PDD to get the work completed at the earliest to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Muharram and forthcoming winter.
