KU organises social service camp for devotees

The University of Kashmir (KU) organised a social service camp for devotees on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

The camp was arranged by the Department of Student Welfare (DSW), KU, to provide refreshment to the people visiting Hazratbal shrine.

   

Vice-chancellor,KU, Prof Talat Ahmad, registrar and Dean, College Development Council, Prof Nilofar Khan, Dean students welfare, Dr Raies Ahmed Qadri, were present on the occasion and took stock of all the arrangements.

“Prof Talat served tea to the devotees and said that it was a social responsibility.  He also expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made by DSW.  Officials of the office of the Chief Proctor and other faculty members of different departments were also present.  The camp was installed near Sir Syed Gate and parking space was also made available in the varsity for devotees. Dr Raies thanked the staff and administration especially the VC for his support,” KU PRO said in a statement.
