Residents of Umar Colony, Lal Bazar B have requested the authorities to start a sumo service to their area.
“Our colony has irregular transport service which is causing severe inconvenience to the residents,” said Muhammad Maqbool Makhdoomi, the secretary of the Social Welfare Committee of the colony. “Therefore we want a sumo service to the area which will go a long way to ease our transport issues”.
He added that the commuters and locals are facing immense hardships in the absence of the adequate transport facilities.
“We demand that the sumo service must be started from Lal Chowk to Hazratbal via Lal Bazar,” Makhdoomi said adding that they have already taken up the matter with concerned authorities but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
