Inhabitants of Umar Colony B, Lal Bazar here Wednesday appealed authorities to start Sumo service from Lal Chowk to Hazratbal via Lal Bazar.
A delegation from the locality led by general secretary of local social welfare committee Muhammad Maqbool Makdoomi said that locals and commuters suffer due to lack of adequate public transport services in the area.
Makhdoomi also demanded street lights for the colony. “There are many educational, religious and historical structures and places in Lal Bazar,” said Makdoomi. “So lack of the transport causes huge problems”.
