Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) carried an anti-encroachment drive at Shalimar.
In a statement, LAWDA PRO Malik Tariq said on the occasion, several structures were demolished. “The drive was monitored by Dr Hafiz Masoodi vice-chairman LAWDA. Besides one structure of Nisar Ahmed Shahdad at Habak has been sealed. The general public is requested to not undertake any construction without permission .No construction activity, if any within 200 metres from lake/green belt should come up and the violators shall be dealt strictly under law The vice chairman stressed the Enforcement wing to continue the anti-encroachment drive,” the statement said.
