Several processions and Majlis were held across Kashmir on Wednesday to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (RA).
Mourners reciting Marsiyas and Nohas, recalled the sufferings of Hazrat Ali (RA), whose martyrdom falls on Ramadhan 21.
The functions were organized by J&K Shia Association, Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen, Anjuman Sharie Shian led by Aga Syed Hassan Al-Safvi Al-Mosvi, Anjuman Sharie Shian led by Aga Syed Muhammad Hadi Al-Safvi Al-Mosvi and other religious organisations.
J&K Shia Association held daylong Majlis at Imambara Zadibal, Imambara Hanjiwera Pattan, Imambara Sahidpora, Imambara Kushipora, Imambara Ahmadpora etc.
Chief Patron J&K Shia Association, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari threw light on the life of Imam Ali (RA) and his contribution for the betterment of Islam and Muslim Ummah. Ansari said the life of Imam Ali (RA) is role model for all mankind.
A daylong Majalis was organised by Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen at Imambara Mirgund, Pattan, Gund Hassi Bhat, Srinagar, Garend Budgam etc. Prominent Zakirs including Aga Syed Hassan, Muhammad Shafi, Khawaja, Maqsood Ali, Haji Ghulam Hassan, Syed Hassan Mosvi and others recited Marsiya on the occasion.
Addressing the mourners in the procession, J&K Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen Chief Patron, Moulana Abbass Ansari highlighted the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA).
Later, Moulana Masroor Abass Ansari took out a procession which was attended by hundreds of mourners.
The Anjuman Sharie Shian held daylong Majlis at Imambara Budgam, Magam and Imambara Hassanabad Rainawari, which were started with the recitation of Holy Quran. Thousands of mourners attended the Majlis and paid glowing tributes to Hazrat Imam Ali (RA).
J&K Anjuman Sharie Shian Chief Patron, Aga Syed Hassan Mustaffa Alsafvi Almosvi, delivered a lecture on the life of Hazrat Ali (RA) at Imabargah Budgam, while Aga Sayyid Abid Al-Hussaini Al-Hamdani threw light on the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Ali (RA) and his contribution in Islam at Imambara Hassanabad.
Anjuman Sharie Shian across led by Aga Syed Muhammad Hadi Al-Safvi Al-Mosvi held the biggest congregation at Imambara Ayatollah Yusuf (RA). Speaking on the occasion, president of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Aga Syed Muhammad Hadi Al-Safvi Al-Moosvi described Hazrat Ali as the greatest source of wisdom and the champion of the cause of Islamic unity.
