Mehraj-e-Alam an element of quest for knowledge, research: Mirwaiz

Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema patron and chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Thursday prayed for peace in the world and betterment of Muslim Ummah saying that Mehraj-e-Alam promoted the element of quest for knowledge and research in the world.

“On the auspicious occasion of Mehraj Un Nabi (SAW), MirwaizMuhammad Umar Farooq addressed a large congregation of devotees athistoric  Aali Masjid Eidgah here afterNimaz-e-Maghrib . He  threw light on theevent and the philosophy of the Mehraj-e-Rasool (PBUH),” MMU spokesperson saidin a statement.

   

Congratulating the Muslims all over the world andparticularly the Muslims of Kashmir, Mirwaiz while throwing light on the eventof Mehraj-e-Alam (SAW) said during this night more than 1400 years ago ProphetMuhammad (SAW) took the journey from Masjid Harm to Masjid Aqsa and from thereto “Maqam-e-Qabakousen.” He said this journey is also referred as Isra orMehraj.

He said this event instigated the element of quest forknowledge and research in the world which gave the mankind courage to reach tothe stars, moon and outer space. He said that for the thinking minds and alertbrains there are so many messages hidden in this event.

Mirwaiz said that Mehraj is a practical miracle of theProphet Muhammad (SAW) which would be remembered till the Day of Judgment.

On this occasion Mirwaiz prayed that may Allah give Muslimsvision to understand the spirit and philosophy of the Mehraj. He also prayedfor universal peace and spiritual and social upliftment of mankind in generaland people and society of Kashmir in particular. A large number of women hadalso come to listen to the sermon of Mirwaiz.
