Residents of Naveedabad Batamaloo Byepass, here today said that the recent rain and snow waters have inundated the colony making it difficult for them to move out of their homes.
They residents expressed resentment over failure of authorities to take measures for checking waterlogging in the area.
"Despite repeated requests during past several years, authorities have failed to construct drainage system," Muhammad Hanief, a bank manager said.
He said a slight shower inundates the lanes in the colony making it difficult for the residents to move out from their homes.
"We face immense problems to venture out. The women, children and elderly in the colony are the main sufferers."
"We appeal Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to look into the matter," a group of residents said.
